Hi! Welcome to Cyberfem's Web Page. This site is my virtual notebook for which I have entered information on how I am educating myself in the field of computer Science. I have decided that it is time for a change in my career, and that this would be the beginning. After almost 10 years of different jobs here and there, and 10 more years in the bar business, I really needed to make a career change! I was getting tired of all the smoke, the loud noise, not making a decent paycheck, and the harassment that one has to put up with in that line of work. I knew this wasn't something I wanted to invest my life in for another 10-15 years. I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do, but I did know that I was interested in computers.
The first time I ever worked on a computer, I was afraid I would hit that one button on the keyboard and ZAP...every piece of data would be gone, wiped out forever! I was intimidated to say the least. Fortunatly, I have overcome my fears by gathering strength, determination, and alot of support from my bestfriend (thanks Mary!), I have made the decision to learn what I all I can about computers and the internet.
One site that grabbed my attention was Spectrum Virtual University. Check this site out! It is a bunch of wonderful people who donate their time and experience to teaching others.
